Terms & Conditions
All clients are required to complete and sign the Declaration form. All your data is confidential and will not be shared with any third party.
Please inform us of any changes in your pet's health or temperament, or if your personal details change to allow us to continue to provide a service tailored to your pet's need's.

Refusal of services for dangerous or aggressive animals:
It is the owner’s responsibility to inform us of ANY aggressive behaviours your pet has or may have. Muzzles/cones may be used if necessary, to protect both the pet and the groomer. The groomer reserves the right to refuse/stop services for such pet(s) at any time before or during the grooming process. In the event that your pet is too stressed or becomes dangerous to groom, the groom will be stopped.
Health and Welfare:
Occasionally during grooming a pre-existing condition may be discovered which you may not have been aware of, we will notify you of this so that you can seek veterinary advice. Although accidents are very rare, there is a risk when dealing with animals. Grooming equipment is sharp, and although we use extreme caution and care in all situations, possible problems could occur including cuts, nicks, scratches, quicking of nails, etc. In most cases this can happen when an animal is wiggling or moving around. Your pet’s safety and comfort is our number one priority. In the event an accident does occur, you will be notified of the accident. In the event of an accident or serious medical issue arising during your pet's groom, this release gives us authority to seek emergency veterinary treatment.
Matted coats:
In the event that your pet's coat needs to be clipped down to release it from matting or coat neglect, we are not liable for any post-grooming effects of this procedure, which is not without risk.
Any humane de-matting will be undertaken solely at the groomer’s discretion, in compliance with The Animal Welfare Act 2006 (clause 5 - Animals are to be protected from pain, injury and suffering). De-matting during a routine groom is only possible if the matting is minimal. For severely matted coats where de-matting isn't possible, the only humane way to deal with this will be to completely shave off the coat. Owner will be informed before their dog is clipped.
Photographs:
Your pet may be photographed before, during or after its groom. Photographs may be used on our website or other printed materials. Please let us know if you prefer for your pet not to be photographed.
Arriving at the salon:
All owners will be required to bring dogs wearing a collar/harness and lead. Please ensure your dog has been fed, watered, and walked before arriving at the salon.
Fleas:
If your dog has fleas, please do not bring them in to the salon, please advise us of the situation and we can get your groom rescheduled for when the fleas are gone. If fleas are discovered mid-groom, a £10 fee will be charged on top of the cost of the groom to cover the cost of bathing in flea shampoo and disinfecting the salon.
Vaccinations:
I confirm that my dog is up to date on it’s yearly vaccinations and will advise the groomer if this changes at any time.
Cancellations:
We operate a 24-hour cancellation policy. If you cancel at least 24 hours prior to the day of your arrival, you will not be charged. Cancellations made less than 24 hours prior to the day of arrival will incur a charge of 50% of groom price. Any no shows will be charged the full groom price.
I have read and agree to all policies of Roo’s Groom Room. I confirm that I believe my pet to be in good health and give the groomer permission to seek immediate veterinary attention in an emergency situation. I will not hold the groomer responsible for any pre-existing conditions or conditions arising from humane matting release.
